State Senator Neil Anderson and Representative Travis Weaver have partnered to host a FREE Children’s Safety Expo this August. The event will feature area vendors providing resourceful information and activities for children of all ages. More than 30 participants are scheduled to have booths, along with facepainting, the Illinois Conservation Police education trailer, car seat safety, and stranger danger information. Children will also have a chance to “touch a truck” and sit on the nearly 20 vehicles registered to attend and will be able to see the landing of the Med Force Medical Helicopter.
