FREE Children’s Safety Expo in Kewanee

State Senator Neil Anderson and Representative Travis Weaver have partnered to host a FREE Children’s Safety Expo this August. The event will feature area vendors providing resourceful information and activities for children of all ages. More than 30 participants are scheduled to have booths, along with facepainting, the Illinois Conservation Police education trailer, car seat safety, and stranger danger information. Children will also have a chance to “touch a truck” and sit on the nearly 20 vehicles registered to attend and will be able to see the landing of the Med Force Medical Helicopter.

When:           Saturday, August 17, 2024; 9:30AM – 12:30PM 

Where:         Blackhawk College Educational Center, 404 E. 3rd Street, Kewanee 

Demonstrations: 10AM Med Force Medical Helicopter (weather permitting), 10:30AM Patti’s Gym, 11AM Flip Tops Tumbling Group, 11:30AM Kewanee Police K-9, 12:30PM giveaways drawing.
