Monmouth College Students Embark on Another School Year

Share

As students are back on the Monmouth College campus for another academic year, President Dr. Patricia Draves reports those students will gain the skills to pursue any career:

“Building your skills to be flexible because we are really preparing students for a lot of jobs that don’t even exist yet. The need for healthcare and technical skills, things like computer science, data science, analytics with data, are huge areas that we offer at Monmouth and are a huge need moving forward. I think we all know there is a teacher shortage, as well. Luckily this incoming class at Monmouth has a lot of students that are interested in education, so I am excited about that and what that means for our local community. There are a lot of emerging markets and business is obviously one of them, so building that flexible skill set so you can move into different industries is a huge priority, not only for students, but for our nation and society.”

Classes began Wednesday, August 21st for Monmouth College students.
