During the month of August, the Monmouth Fire Department is celebrating five work anniversaries, reports Fire Chief Casey Rexroat:
“Brian Morefield will be celebrating 26 years with the department. A lot of experience and knowledge with him. Ralph Peeler this year has 20 years with the department, and I know Ralph actually has experience well beyond our own fire department. Before he came to us, he was on the fire department near Champaign. Devon Wade has two years on the department this month and then Firefighters Kyle Martin and Tim LaFollette each finished their first year on our department this month.”
Additionally, Chief Rexroat reminds motorists to be alert and aware as children head back to school and will be walking or riding bicycles as their form of transportation.
