A start up chemical free urban micro-farm in Galesburg provides produce to the local community, shares Knox County Area Partnership President Ken Springer:

“This is a company called Elementary Earthworks, which is a small business run by Rosie and Alex Theobald. This is a start up that received some assistance from the City of Galesburg. Elementary Earthworks does no till and chemical free produce sales. They sell produce and plant starters to the general public, stores, and local restaurants. They start all of their plants from seeds. This is an initial project, like phase one, but they have some additions to grow the business in the future.”

Elementary Earthworks became an established business in the Galesburg community toward the beginning of this year.
