The Warren-Henderson Farm Bureau® Foundation is proud to announce this year’s scholarship recipients. Due to the generosity of the Twomey Family Foundation, memorials in honor of loved ones, support from our members and area businesses, and fundraising efforts, the Foundation can assist nineteen applicants this year in furthering their education in agriculture. Each of this year’s recipients will receive a total of $1,300 for the 2024-25 academic year.
The Foundation started awarding scholarships in 1994 and since that time has awarded 412 scholarships and almost $350,000 to students continuing their education in an agricultural field of study.
Meet one of this year’s recipients: Brynn Johnson
Brynn Johnson attends Western Illinois University in Macomb and is majoring in Ag Science and hopes to transfer to Parkland College to veterinary technology. While at Western Illinois, Brynn has been involved in the Ag Mech Club and Agri-Business Club. In her spare time, she enjoys baking, cooking, and veterinary medicine. Brynn’s future plans include to become a certified veterinary technician working within a mixed animal practice. Brynn is the daughter of Brian Johnson and Amy Nimrick-Johnson of Smithshire.
