The Warren-Henderson Farm Bureau® Foundation is proud to announce this year’s scholarship recipients. Due to the generosity of the Twomey Family Foundation, memorials in honor of loved ones, support from our members and area businesses, and fundraising efforts, the Foundation can assist nineteen applicants this year in furthering their education in agriculture. Each of this year’s recipients will receive a total of $1,300 for the 2024-25 academic year.
The Foundation started awarding scholarships in 1994 and since that time has awarded 412 scholarships and almost $350,000 to students continuing their education in an agricultural field of study.
Meet one of this year’s recipients: Jack Jungmann
Jack Jungmann attends University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and is majoring in Agricultural Communications with a minor in Ag Economics and Sports Management. While at U of I, Jack has been involved in FarmHouse Fraternity, Illinois Junior Beef Association, Agricultural Communicators of Tomorrow, Hoof & Horn, and Collegiate Farm Bureau. In his spare time, he enjoys photography, sports and showing livestock. Future plans for Jack include continuing to build his own agricultural business and helping bridge the gap between the farmer and consumer or between agricultural companies and their customers, the farmers. Jack is the son of Matthew and Krystal Jungmann of Little York.
