The Warren-Henderson Farm Bureau® Foundation is proud to announce this year’s scholarship recipients. Due to the generosity of the Twomey Family Foundation, memorials in honor of loved ones, support from our members and area businesses, and fundraising efforts, the Foundation can assist nineteen applicants this year in furthering their education in agriculture. Each of this year’s recipients will receive a total of $1,300 for the 2024-25 academic year.
The Foundation started awarding scholarships in 1994 and since that time has awarded 412 scholarships and almost $350,000 to students continuing their education in an agricultural field of study.
Meet one of this year’s recipients: Kendyl Kane
Kendyl Kane attended Southeastern Community College in the spring but will transfer to Western Illinois University in the fall to major in Agriculture Business with a minor in animal science. In her spare time, Kendyl enjoys showing sheep, hunting, reading, swimming, going on walks, painting/drawing, walking/working with show animals, and well as spending time with family and friends. Future plans for Kendyl include either ag educator or ag business or ag sales position. Kendyl is the daughter of James and Kimberly Kane of Smithshire.
