The Warren-Henderson Farm Bureau® Foundation is proud to announce this year’s scholarship recipients. Due to the generosity of the Twomey Family Foundation, memorials in honor of loved ones, support from our members and area businesses, and fundraising efforts, the Foundation can assist nineteen applicants this year in furthering their education in agriculture. Each of this year’s recipients will receive a total of $1,300 for the 2024-25 academic year.

The Foundation started awarding scholarships in 1994 and since that time has awarded 412 scholarships and almost $350,000 to students continuing their education in an agricultural field of study.

Meet one of this year’s recipients: Rachel Leary

Rachel Leary graduated from United High School in the spring and plans to attend the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign to major in Ag Communications with a minor in Environmental Science. While in high school, Rachel was involved in FFA, Band, Choir, Kindness Club, 4-H, GSA, as well as the National Honor Society. In her free time, she enjoys reading, crafting, writing, drawing, coloring, painting, sewing, watching movies, spending time with family, caring for animals, and being outside. Rachel’s future plans include hoping to work for an outdoor park or institute, working with animals and/or nature. Rachel is the daughter of Aaron and Sara Leary of Little York.
