The A-Town Tornado football team lost a heart breaker to Rushville/Industry 40-32 last Friday night at home to slip to (1-3) on the season. Each high school football team’s first goal of each season is to get to the 5-win mark to essentially assure themselves of a postseason playoff berth. The Tornadoes must now win at least four more games in their final five games of the season. Basically, the playoffs start this week for A-Town. Their opponent this Friday night is in a similar situation. The Annawan/Wethersfield Flying Geese are an uncharacteristic (2-2) through their first four games. They must win at least 3 of their next five contests. A-Town head coach Rick Quinn says that makes this week’s game at Wethersfield High School in Kewanee most important.

The Tornadoes have United coming to A-Town High School on October 4th for their Homecoming game.
