Brooks Named MWC Offensive Performer of the Week

Monmouth College senior McKade Brooks (Astoria, Illinois) was named Midwest Conference Offensive Performer of the Week on Monday following the Scots 52-6 win over Lawrence.

Brooks ran for a career-high 167 yards on 11 carries against the Vikings while scoring three touchdowns. Brooks ran for an 83-yard touchdown in the first quarter to give the Scots a 6-0 lead. The run is tied for the seventh-longest run in Monmouth history, Brooks added touchdown runs of 10 and 21 to put the Scots up 20-6 and 34-6 later in the game. He averaged 15.2 yards per rush for the day and tied a career-high with the three scores.

Brooks has consecutive 100+ yard rushing games and ranks second in the MWC with 290 rushing yards. Brooks ranks third in the MWC with five rushing touchdowns and at 9.4 yards per carry. Brooks ranks 16th in Monmouth history with 1,434 rushing yards and 13th in school history with 18 rushing touchdowns.

The Scots are on the bye week this week and next play when they host Illinois College at 2 p.m. on Oct. 5 for Homecoming.
