The West Central Heat 8-man football can match their win total from last season with a victory at Peoria Heights on Friday night. The Heat are off to a (2-0) start to 2024 after going (3-6) in 2023, a year removed from an 8-man state title in 2022. West Central beat Bushnell-Prairie City 38-26 on Saturday in Bushnell. BPC came into Saturday’s game off a 44-0 win over Peoria Heights in week one. Heat head coach Jason Kirby is excited about what his current group of Heat are capable of this season.

West Central’s trip to Peoria Heights on Friday night is the 3rd of 5 consecutive games on the road to start the season. They will play their final four games at home.
