On Monmouth-Roseville’s Senior Night, seniors played a part in every goal and posted the shutout, too, as the Titans topped visiting Orion 5-0 Tuesday at Pattee Fields.

The clean sheet, M-R’s seventh in the past 11 games, went once again to Isaac Garcia, extending his school record. Garcia even had one of the assists in the game, as his booming punt cleared Orion’s final line of defense and put junior Cee Sarcomo one-on-one with the goalie in the 17th minute.

Two seniors combined for M-R’s other goal of the first half when Derrek Martell scored off a corner kick from Angel Jurado.

The Titans possessed the ball in the final third for much of the game, and their third goal came off a good buildup in that area, with Sarcomo slipping a pass to senior Bruntsh Bolese, who blasted the ball home from just outside the box seven minutes into the second half

Martell scored his second goal of the game four minutes later off a pass from sophomore Sang Lian, and M-R’s final goal came with 4:54 to play when Elijah Sang charged down the left wing to cash in a nice pass from sophomore Yahir Serna.

The Titans held a 32-2 edge in shots, with Orion goalie Gavin Cottrell making 16 saves.

The Titans will take a 12-7-4 record into regional play, which they will host on Oct. 19.
