In response to the growing needs of the local community, OSF HealthCare is expanding their emergency department at the St. Mary Medical Center campus in Galesburg, reports Knox County Area Partnership President Ken Springer:

“OSF announced that they are going to be investing $5 million into an expansion of their emergency department. It is going to involve 7,000 square feet being added to the existing space, but also just a lot of interior reconfigurations. They are going to add a triage room and some treatment rooms. Construction for this is set to begin by the end of 2024 and will take about 18 months to complete.”

Springer also shares that Graham Health Systems has opened a primary care clinic on Third Street in Galesburg.
