With the holiday season right around the corner, online shopping will be increasing, which means packages will show up on doorsteps enticing the porch pirates. Monmouth Police Department Investigator Josh Kramer shares advice on keeping your purchases safe:

“Track your packages. If you have them leaving them on your front porch, I recommend you have some sort of camera device, Ring device, Blink device that will monitor your package until you can get home. If you have a family member that lives close and can come and actually take the package off your porch, I highly recommend that. Just remember, track your packages, know when they are coming, and to get them inside.”

Investigator Kramer also suggests shipping packages to your work or to a family member or friend that you know will be home to collect the delivery.
