Marshalltown Hammer Company to Receive $5 Million

The Marshalltown Hammer Company in Bushnell will receive $5 million from state taxpayers in an effort the Pritzker administration said preserves 100 jobs and supports advanced manufacturing in the region. Marshalltown has made tools and equipment across a wide range of industries since 1890.

According to the MAEDCO Facebook page, Governor JB Pritzker visited Bushnell on Wednesday and announced a $5Million investment in Marshalltown Hammer. These funds enable Marshalltown to acquire and establish operations in the oldest American hammer company in the USA–Vaughan & Bushnell Manufacturing. Marshalltown’s acquisition was a collective accomplishment, involving local and state level entities; saving 100+ jobs and keeping a 155 year legacy manufacturer right here in Western Illinois.🔨
