Sheriff Jack Harlan announces the arrest of Ryan P Loveless 38 y/o W/M from Hilliard, OH on November 8th at approximately 09:06 PM.

Knox County Sheriff’s Office Investigators had gained information that Loveless was communicating with 15 and 16 year old minors and traveled across state lines to Illinois to have sexual intercourse with the minors. Further information was gained that Loveless planned on bringing his infant, due to not having a babysitter.

Knox County Sheriff’s Office Investigators learned that Loveless rented a hotel room and instructed the minors to drive to Danville, IL and enter the hotel through a side door.

Once information was gathered the Knox County States Attorney’s Office produced an arrest warrant for Loveless.

Thanks to effective communication Knox County Sheriff’s Office, Vermillion County Sheriff’s Office, and Danville Police Department were able to work together to located Loveless in the hotel parking lot in Danville, IL where he was taken into custody. Loveless did have his infant child with him. The infant was turned over to family after a medical evaluation. No injury occurred to the infant. The identity of the infant will not be released.

Loveless was taken into custody then transported and booked into the Knox County Jail on the following charges:

Indecent solicitation of a child (4 counts)

Traveling to meet a child (2 counts)

Grooming (2 counts)

Solicitation to meet a child (2 counts)

Sheriff Jack Harlan puts out this message to make parents aware of their children’s social media accounts and who they may be communicating with.
