OSF HealthCare is proud to announce the expansion of cancer care services at OSF HealthCare St. Mary Medical Center with the addition of surgical oncology appointments and procedures. This addition ensures area patients receive comprehensive, expert care close to home.

This enhancement brings the expertise of the OSF HealthCare Cancer Institute in Peoria to the greater Galesburg community and represents a significant step forward in providing local access to high-quality cancer care. Tamara Floyd, MD, a highly-regarded surgical oncologist, has begun seeing patients at OSF St. Mary . Dr. Floyd specializes in the surgical management of complex cancer diagnoses, including sarcoma, mesothelioma and other malignancies.

The expansion of services complements the radiation oncology care introduced at OSF St. Mary earlier this year, creating a more robust cancer care program for patients. This integrated approach ensures that patients can receive both surgical and radiation oncology treatments in one convenient location, reducing the need for travel during what can be a challenging time.

For inquiries or to schedule an appointment with Dr. Floyd, patients should call (309) 624-5127.

OSF HealthCare remains committed to providing innovative, patient-centered cancer care, ensuring that residents of Galesburg and the surrounding areas have access to advanced treatments and expert providers without leaving their community.

OSF HealthCare is an integrated health system founded by The Sisters of the Third Order of St. Francis. Headquartered in Peoria, Illinois, OSF HealthCare has 16 hospitals – 10 acute care, five critical access, one transitional care – with 2,131 licensed beds throughout Illinois and Michigan. OSF HealthCare has been recognized by Fortune as one of the most innovative companies in the country. More at osfhealthcare.org/
