Mrs. Terry J. Reed, 70, of Galesburg, Illinois was taken to be with our Lord Father in Heaven at 2:59 p.m. Friday, November 8, 2024, at OSF St. Mary Medical Center, Galesburg. 

She was born on November 15, 1953, in Charles City, Iowa.  to Virgil and Donna (Henderson) Fortner.  She married Jeffrey Reed on May 13, 1985, in Russel Springs, Kentucky.

Surviving is her husband of 39 years, Jeffrey Reed of Galesburg, a brother, Thomas (and Linda) Fortner of Maywood, Missouri, several nieces and nephews that she loved as her children and great nieces and great nephews that she loved as her grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents. 

Terry graduated from Galesburg High School in 1972.  She held several positions at F&M Bank from bank teller to branch manager.  She and her husband, Jeff, owned and operated a vending business, Snaktyme Vending, for several years.  She then worked for Galesburg School District #205 in the Food Service Department and loved serving the kids their lunches.  She retired in 2018.  She was of the Catholic Faith and was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Galesburg when she was younger.  Terry enjoyed bowling, golfing, fishing, gardening and camping.  She had a love of animals, especially her dog Brittany.  The thing she loved the most was spending time with her husband, Jeff. 

As Terry requested, cremation will be accorded.  A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.  Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, American Heart Association, or Knox County Humane Society.  Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Service Galesburg Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.  Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com
