Over the last two years, Jamieson Community Center has seen a significant increase in the number of visits. Executive Director Nancy Mowen shares numbers just from this year alone of individuals and families impacted by JCC services:

“We provided food assistance 4,840 times just at Jamieson Center and around 800 times we provided assistance at the Recharge Teen Center. Over 3,000 people impacted, just through our Food Pantry programs. Our seniors, we have served 430 people through the end of October, and we have served 40,652 meals. We have 80 children that receive weekend meals. We have 362 children signed up for the Community Christmas Store and 78 families signed up for Christmas baskets. In addition to that, we have some programs that center around personal and academic growth, and we have had 63 more people served through those programs.”

On December 4th, 5th, and 6th, the 24th annual Freezing for Food event at Save A Lot Food Store in Monmouth, benefiting the Jamieson Community Center and Roseville Helping Hands Food Pantry, will take place from 10 am to 2 pm each day. Items in need for the Food Pantry include soups, stews, chili, canned proteins, and vegetables. Additionally, through Christmas, Fareway in Monmouth will be offering their roundup at the checkouts to assist with the Community Christmas Store.
