Jeff Erwin, 60, of Sadorus, Illinois, died on Monday, December 9, 2024, in OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

He was born May 17, 1964, in Danville, the son of Jerry and Leota (Showalter) Erwin. He had been married to Julie Maldonado.

He is survived by his mother, Leota Hensley of Abingdon; stepfather, Jim Hensley of Abingdon; children, Jeff Erwin Jr. of Fort Dodge, Iowa, Brandi Erwin of Nevada, Iowa, Ashley (J. David) Weber of Tolono, Illinois, and Sierra (Colvin) Knowles of Stuart, Florida; grandchildren, Trevor George, Deklyn Thomas, Haven Thomas, Daxton Weber, Sylis Erwin, Bayne Erwin, Paul Knowles, and Ryker Knowles; great grandson, Jamison George; siblings, Larry (Kena) Erwin of Galesburg, Jim (Shelley) Hensley Jr. of Abingdon, Tim Erwin, Jim Erwin, Deanna Cook of Stuart, Florida, Holly Dittmar of Danville, and Stephanie Johnson of Danville; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Erwin; stepfather, Larry Cook; brother, Jerry Erwin; sister, Christine Erwin; and special niece, Kirsten Erwin.

Jeff attended Abingdon High School. He worked as a flooring installer and had lived in Illinois, Arizona, California, and Florida. Jeff was an avid fan of the San Francisco 49ers and loved to fish and play video games.

Cremation has been accorded. A celebration of life will be hosted by the family from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, January 5, 2025, at the Abingdon American Legion.
