The Monmouth-Roseville High School wrestling team was back in action last week, splitting two triangular meets, falling to Orion 58-24 and Galesburg 64-12 on Monday, before bouncing back on Thursday and picking up wins against Farmington 48-32 and United 60-10. The Titans Varsity wrestling team look to keep the momentum this week on Wednesday and Saturday, reports M-R High School Athletic Director Jeremy Adolphson:

“Wednesday we head to Sherrard for a triangular with Morrison, so it will be a conference match-up in Sherrard. Sherrard is always very, very tough and Morrison has some really good returning wrestlers I know from a year ago as well, so that will be some good competition for us. Then they take their first major invite on Saturday. They will be headed down to the PORTA Invitational, an invite that we typically perform pretty well at. Depending on the year, sometimes we end up with going more that direction for our regional anyway, so it is good to see some of those kids down there.”

Following the PORTA Invitational on Saturday, the Titans Wrestling Team will host their first home match on the season on December 17th versus Camp Point Central.
