A variety of scholarships are available to Sandburg students each year, based on academic excellence, financial need, residency, leadership, programs of study, and others. Stacey Rucker, Assistant Manager of Alumni Engagement and Advancement Communications, explains the student success and crisis grants:

“Within in that, we have dental hygiene success grants, nursing, crisis, and textbooks. We just reviewed textbook applications and what that is, is students for the spring 2025 semester applied. All the students have the opportunity to apply for a grant that will assist with textbook and course supplies and those of course we all know can go pretty high in costs. It is a benefit to the students to submit an application, we have a review committee, and they look at those applications, score them, and then we award the dollars. We also see throughout the year crisis situations that our students have. It may be related to transportation. It may be unfortunately greater tragedies, so they need support on those things too. They can apply again, and we have a review committee that awards dollars for that area as well.”

Scholarships are available for spring, summer, and fall semesters to Sandburg students.
