The United Red Storm boys basketball team is back in action tonight at the Holiday Touranment that they host at United High School. The Red Storm are currently (3-0) in the 6-team, 5-game round robin format. They will play also (3-0) Ridgewood at 7:30 in the high school gym in the Fieldhouse. A win by Ridgewood would give them an outright tournament title. United could clinch a title with a win over the Spartans and a loss by West Prairie to BPC in the 6:00 game tonight. United could still win a title with a win over Ridgewood tonight and a win over West Prairie in their tournament finale on Friday night over West Prairie. There are other scenarios that could come into play, including the best team free throw percentage should the tournament end with 3 teams at (4-1). After their first two wins of the tournament that came by an average of 26 points, the Red Storm had to gut out a 49-46 win over Bushnell-Prairie City on Monday night. United head coach Jason Lancaster says his kids have played hard all season long no matter the situation, and has no doubt they’ll show that same toughness tonight in the big matchup against a high quality Ridgewood ballclub.

You can listen to tonight’s United/Ridgewood match up on the PCSN, with the AM 1330/FM 95.7 WRAM pregame show at 7:10. The tip-off is scheduled for 7:30.
