What happens when two lifelong friends—a bartender and a banker—come up with a crazy idea? Usually, their parents aren’t impressed, but in this case, it has transformed rural Henry County, Illinois, for years to come, particularly in the small town of Galva, which has a population of 2,700. Every August, thousands flock to see some of the biggest country stars in the business.

The festival grounds are like no other. The stage rises from a natural amphitheater surrounded by cornfields and windmills, offering a panoramic view that allows fans to see for miles.

Now in its 11th year, the sense of community at the Back Road Music Festival is more evident than ever. Attendees create lifelong memories and feel at home, no matter where they come from. By participating in the festival, you also support a long list of charities that we are proud to back. We take pride in using our platform to help those in need. If you’re looking for a safe, family-friendly environment that gives back, this is the perfect summer festival for you. One ticket provides access to multiple acts, charity support, great food, drinks, and countless #1 hits. What are you waiting for?

While we plan for a potential sellout each year of the festival, 2025 is surely going to be a standout! Headlining the event is the band Alabama, which first gained fame in 1980 with their Top 20 hit, “My Home’s in Alabama.” Since then, they have sold over 80 million albums and charted 43 #1 singles, including a record-breaking 21 consecutive #1 hits—an achievement that is unlikely to be surpassed in any genre.

Alabama has received numerous awards, including 178 CMA Awards, Grammy Awards, and ACM Awards. They have also earned 21 Gold, Platinum, and Multi-Platinum albums. Additionally, they were named the RIAA’s Country Group of the Century and are members of the Country Music Hall of Fame. They also have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Opening the stage for Alabama is BlackHawk, whose harmony that is shared with their voices, their songs, and their fans, has helped to see over 7 million albums, score some of the most distinctive country radio hits of the ‘90s, and still draws tens of thousands of fans to their electrifying live performances.

There are more main artists yet to be announced, so stay tuned! The Back Road Music Festival takes place in the Galva Park District in Galva, Illinois, on Saturday, August 9, 2025. Tickets for the festival will go on sale Friday, January 10, 2025, at 8 AM and will be available at www.tbrmf.com. Tickets are discounted through January.
