Barbara L. Kennedy, 73, of Galesburg, died at 6:50 p.m. Saturday, December 28, 2024, in Allure of Knox County.

She was born April 24, 1951, in Portland, Oregon. She married John A. Kennedy on June 14, 1997, in Galesburg. He preceded her in death on June 15, 2012.

She is survived by a son, Rashawn Hilton of Galesburg and good friends and caregivers, Charlotte Clark and Charles Clark of Galesburg.

Barbara delivered the Register Mail for several years. She was a member of the Knox County YMCA and had a love for animals, especially cats. Barbara enjoyed taking day trips out of town and visiting with her friends. She was a loving mother and wife.

Cremation will be accorded. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral and Cremation Services of Galesburg is honored to assist the family. Online condolences and memories may be left on the funeral home’s website at www.h-p-w.com.
