Plan Ahead for Snowstorm Commuting

With the forecasted snow that is to hit the local area, City of Monmouth Communications Director Ken Helms reminds motorists to slow down and plan for that extra travel time:

“When there is a storm, if you have to go to work, if you are still working regular hours during the snowstorm or right after it, make sure you leave a little bit early. When we go through our call statistics for motor vehicle accidents specifically, it is always right there around those times when there is a lot of commuters going into work because it spikes the traffic. Just taking an extra ten minutes to get there, driving at a slower pace, it really does make a difference.”
