At tonight’s Board of Education meeting for the West Central School District, facility plans for the next five years will be discussed, reports Superintendent Stacey Day:

“One of the big things that we are going to talk about is getting back into some facilities plans. We did our 10-year life safety survey last year and got that finalized. We took this year off from some big projects to try and finish up things that had been in the works and now it is time to really dig back into that list and other facility needs and really look at prioritizing and making a timeline on when we want to get things done here in the next five years. The high school roof is a big item, it is estimated at about $2 million. Just in our 10-year life safety requirements, we probably have about $8 million worth of facility work to do. Those are the things that have to be done.”

Tonight’s meeting will begin at 6 pm in the West Central Elementary Cafeteria.
