Four Monmouth-Roseville Titan Wrestlers Advance to Sectionals

The Monmouth-Roseville Titans wrestling team competed in regionals the weekend held in Canton. The titans took 10 wrestlers to compete to advance to sectionals. At 120 Landon Peterson went 3-1 on the dea winning over Beardstown and Warsaw by pinfall and camp point central by decision 13-6 placing 3rd and advancing to sectionals, 138 Liam Spears went 1-2 on the day defeating Camp point central by major decision 9-0, At 144 Alejandro Morales went 1-2 on the day defeating Macomb by pinfall, 150 Gybahni Mendoza-Valverde went 1-2 defeating Warsaw by pinfall, 175 Keegan Smith going 2-1 on the day defeating Seymour and Macomb by pinfall and placing 2nd overall advancing to sectionals, 190 Nikoli Snyder going 2-2 on the day defeating Beardstown and camp point central by pinfall, placing 4th and advancing to sectionals, 215 Alex Gandarilla went 2-1 on the day defeating Mercer county and Beardstown by pinfall and advancing to sectionals, 285 Sailas Cung going 1-2 on the day defeating United by pinfall. We wish the best of luck to Landon Peterson, Keegan Smith, Nikoloi Snyder and Alex Gandarilla who advanced and will represent Monmouth-Roseville wrestling at sectionals in Clinton next Friday and Saturday.
