Being a member of the Illinois 4-H does not end once you age out. Denny Wallin, District Director for the Illinois 4-H Alumni Association shares the association gives former 4-H members the opportunity to be involved and network.

“It’s a brand new program and we’re trying to just reach out to all the 4-H alumni around the United States, to become part of the Alumni Association. We’re going to be putting on different programs throughout the state, different times of the year, and we got some new stuff coming up,” says Wallin. “We have people from all over the United States who have actually grown up in Illinois and moved to a different state. And now that they’ve joined the alumni, we get their pictures and everything, and we’ve got attached each state, and it works out that we’re getting all, just almost all the states filled up.”
