The Monmouth-Roseville Titan boys basketball team is currently (11-15) overall on the season. The Titans have more than likely, played one of the toughest schedules in class 2A. In the 26 games the Titans have played so far, 15 of those have come against teams that sport a record of .500 or better. Five more of those games are against teams that have a chance to be at .500 or better, for a total of 20 of 26 games played. To further the point even more, eight games played to this point have been vs. teams that have won 20 more games, with another five that could easily get to the 20 win mark. And it doesn’t get any easier for Monmouth-Roseville the rest of the way. They will take on (24-3) Sherrard on the road tonight and (19-8) Illini West at home on Saturday afternoon. The final two games will be at home, as well, but against (17-9) Rockridge on Tuesday for senior night and (20-4) Macomb next Friday. The Titans are coached by Chuck Grant, who has always had a desire to play a tough schedule. He sees it as nothing but a positive, even if the results aren’t.

Both the Titans boys basketball game at Sherrard on Friday and, weather permitting, the Titan boys game at home on Saturday afternoon can be heard on Sunny 97.7 WMOI.
