National and State Soybean Boards Seeking Candidates

The Illinois Soybean Board (ISB) is looking for farmers interested in filling two of Illinois’ director positions with the United Soybean Board (USB). Any soybean producer who is engaged in the growing of soybeans in the United States who owns, or who shares the ownership and risk of loss of, is eligible. To be considered for the national leadership position, farmers must complete the required application and “Agreement to Serve” statement and return them to the Illinois Soybean Association (ISA) office by Friday, March 7, 2025. Contact Dustin Scott, ISA Director of Operations, at 309-846-3673 or dustin.scott@ilsoy.org to receive a copy of the application and agreement to serve.

In addition, ISB is also seeking candidates for At-Large Directors. These individuals will be nominated by the majority of the Board sitting in a quorum at a meeting to be determined. Thereafter, two of the nominated individuals will be elected by a majority of soybean producers in attendance at the ISB Meeting in July 2025. ISB members serve a term of three years and are eligible for up to three consecutive terms.

Any interested producer must notify the Board of their desire to become a candidate for an At-Large position by sending a letter of interest to Illinois Soybean Association, Attn: Director of Operations, 1108 Trinity Lane, Bloomington, Illinois, 61704. This letter of interest must be postmarked no later than Friday, February 21, 2025. Letters of interest may also be sent via email to dustin.scott@ilsoy.org. The same deadline applies.

Once intent is expressed, candidates will be emailed a link to an online application. Online applications must be completed and submitted electronically no later than Friday, March 7, 2025. There is no write-in provision for At-Large director elections.
