Pets With Save This Life Microchips Will Need Re-Registered

Monmouth Animal Control Officer Josh Strong would like animal owners to be aware that the microchip company Save This Life Microchips has shut down without notice. Many pet owners who have their pet microchipped may be affected by this sudden company shutdown. Those affected will not have their contact information connected to the pet and microchip should the pet become lost. PSO Strong uses a microchip reader in trying to identify the owners of pets that he recovers or that come into the animal shelter. If anyone is concerned that their pet is chipped with one of these chips, they can call PSO Strong 309-734-8383 to make arrangements to have their pet checked. The affected chip can be re-registered with another company by making contact at the following:
