Stacy A. Kidwell, 52, of Joy, IL, passed away on February 27, 2025, at Mercer Manor, Aledo, IL.

Stacy was born May 1, 1972, in Monmouth, IL, the daughter of Martin V. and Sharon (Milligan) Todd. She was raised and educated in Monmouth, attending Monmouth High School.

Stacy married Barton Kidwell on June 7, 1996, and they later divorced.

She worked full-time as a stay-at-home mom. Stacy was always cooking or baking, and taking care of everyone around her. She could be found watching her flowers bloom. Stacy was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. She loved crafting and spending time with her four grandchildren.

Survivors include her fiancé, George Vanskike of Joy; her children, Devanie (Nick McLaughlin) Kidwell of Monmouth, Barton Kidwell II of Monmouth, and step-daughter Kayli Vanskike of Roseville, IL; her grandchildren, Leighton, Coleson, Adley and Owen. Also surviving are her siblings, Martin W. Todd of Monmouth, Wendy L. (Dick Bigger) Mettler of Biggsville, IL, Randy L. (Kris) Todd of West Richland, WA, and Marcy J. (Tony) Cokel of Monmouth.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two nephews, Calvin Cokel and Casey Todd.

Visitation will be from 1:00-3:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth. A Gathering of family and friends will follow at Meks on Main (201 North Main Street, Monmouth) starting at 4:00 p.m. Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorials may be given to the Stacy Kidwell Memorial Fund and can be sent to the funeral home. McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
