Downtown Monmouth Beautification Construction Ramping Back Up

Share

With the weather warming back up, the downtown Monmouth beautification project will be full speed ahead once again. Communications Director Ken Helms explains the plan for the center portions of each quadrant:

“One of the neatest things that we are going to see during this project is going to be when they start doing the surface milling because it is going to being everything down to the same grade. The rain gardens that we have there, the current one that we have we just have some rocks in there temporarily. Those rocks are coming out and then we will do actual turf seeding, but the idea overall is to make that just a nice green area and then there is also some lighting that will go in there as well.”

The downtown Monmouth beautification is anticipated to be completed by early to mid-July.
