IBCA Releases Girls Basketball All-State Teams

The IBCA, or Illinois Basketball Coaches Association released its girls basketball all-state teams. As far as Monmouth/Galesburg area players making the cut……on the 1A list, Abingdon-Avon sophomore Kennedy Quinn was a 1st team member. Brimfield senior Ava Heinz was a 2nd team member. Quinn’s teammate, senior Hailey Redding was a 3rd team member, along with Wethersfield senior Lana Scott and Annawan senior Bella VanOpdorp. Local 1A girls making the Special Mention included Wethersfield senior Lajaya Angel.

On the class 2A all-state team…..Camp Point Central/Southeastern senior Lauren Miller was a 1st teamer. Miller’s teammate, senior Karly Peters and Adalyn Voss from Alleman were 2nd team members. On the Special Mention list is Monmouth-Roseville senior Brianna Woodard, Macomb senior Kylie Robinson and Alleman’s Megan Hulke.

On the 3A list, Galesburg sophomore Ella Hirschenroder was a 3rd team member. Her teammate and fellow sophomore Jozalyn Kilgore was a special team member.
