Mrs. Lynne Anne Witz, 72, of Glendale, Arizona died unexpectedly on February 8, 2025, at her home.
She was born September 12, 1952, in Peoria, Illinois to Clifford C. and Bonnie J. (Farquer) Cowley. She married Richard M. Carlson, Sr. in 1970, in Dahinda, Illinois. She later married Henry W. Witz on September 18, 2004, in Galesburg. He preceded her in death on June 6, 2024.
Surviving is a son, Richard M. (and Berto Delgado) Carlson, Jr. of Ewing, New Jersey, a daughter, Amy (and Joe) Hatch of Oneida, Illinois a stepdaughter, Laurie Witz of Farmington, Missouri, a brother, Michael L. (and Thomas Allen) Cowley of Pheonix, Arizona, and three grandchildren, Mallory (and Dalton) Spivey, Brandon Hatch, and Madi Hatch. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Lynne graduated from Knoxville High School in 1970. She received her beautician license in Galesburg and later attended Carl Sandburg College. She was a medical secretary for OSF St. Mary Medical Center for 23 years. She was a member of Community of Christ Church in Galesburg. She enjoyed doing crafts, traveling, watching The Price is Right and The Young and the Restless, and playing the slot machines. She was an animal lover, especially her fur babies, Scruffy and Sophie. Most of all, Lynne loved spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren.
As Lynne requested, cremation has been accorded. A Celebration Of Life visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, April 25, 2025, at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Galesburg Chapel.
