Mrs. Ruby M. Schisler, 82, of Knoxville, Illinois, passed away peacefully Sunday, March 16, 2025, at OSF Saint Mary’s Medical Center, while surrounded by her family.

Ruby was born October 15, 1943, in Cuba, Illinois, the daughter of Charles and Edith (Irwin) Wust. She married Neil Schisler on July 9, 1983, and spent 42 long and loving years together.

Ruby is survived by her husband Neil; her children: Sheila, Tammy, “Mick” Kenneth, and Aaron; her sibling: Robert; her grandchildren: Nicole, Michelle, Adam, Bradley, Angel, Jake, and Lindsay; and nine great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, and her siblings: Eleanor, Doris, Violet and Fritz.

Ruby loved spending time with her family and was a devoted mother and nana. She loved collecting Fenton Glass, along with statues of cats and turtles. Ruby loved to read and was a very avid fan of the Harry Potter series. She had an immense love of anything Disney, with her favorite character being Stitch.

Cremation will be accorded. A private graveside service will be held for the family. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Galesburg Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com
