In Loving Memory of Talbert Lee McClendon II
Born in Gary, Indiana, on August 26, 1970, the son of Talbert Lee McClendon, Sr and Annetta Steward. Talbert Lee McClendon II was a man of warmth, laughter, and unwavering love. He married Cecilia Jean Johnson on February 4, 2008, in Rock Island, Illinois.
On February 26, 2025, he departed this world, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, humor, and selflessness that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
Talbert was a dedicated man who spent his life working in manufacturing, always providing for those he loved. Beyond his work, he was known for his infectious laughter, his caring nature, and his willingness to help anyone in need. He was the kind of person who could light up a room with his humor and leave a lasting impact through his generosity and wisdom.
Above all, Talbert was a devoted father to his seven cherished children: Dyesha Taylor, Deandre Taylor, Serena McClendon, Truth McClendon, Romello McClendon, Khalil McClendon, and Khalim McClendon and his stepchildren, Jamel Neal, Hemsley Neal, and Milijiah Carpenter. His love for his family knew no bounds, and his presence was a source of strength and joy. He is survived by his loving brothers Tyran, Shawn, Demone, and Jermaine, and his beloved sister, Mythia.
He now joins his late brother, Montell McClendon, in eternal peace along with his parents and his Uncle Michael Steward. Talbert’s life was a testament to the power of love, laughter, and resilience. As we say goodbye, we hold onto his spirit, his lessons, and the memories that will forever warm our hearts.
A Personal Tribute
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.”

Rest in peace, my love. Until we meet again.
