For the month of March, the WMOI/WRAM School Spotlight shines on West Central Elementary. Keeping the students engaged each and every month with different topics, Principal Kathy Lafary shares they have launched a program this month to encourage their students to read:

“One of the things that we are just starting up now is March Book Madness. We do everything that we can to encourage our students to read, but right now the March Book Madness, each of the classrooms have an opportunity to vote for their favorite book, we take them through the brackets, and we find out what the winner is at the end of the competition.”

During the month of February, the classes at West Central Elementary took part in the ‘Love Makes the World Go Round,’ where they collected mail from across the United States and around the world.
