Jeffery K. Gaskill, 36, Monmouth, IL, passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2025, in Henderson County, IL, as the result of a motor vehicle accident.

He was born on October 31, 1988, in Monmouth, the son of Regina Wilson and James R. Gaskill, Jr. Jeffery was raised and educated in Henderson County and graduated from West Central High School in 2007.

Jeffery worked at Smithfield Foods in Monmouth for several years, and most recently, he worked at United Facilities in Galesburg. Jeffrey found joy in tinkering and reconstructing cars. He relished the tranquility of fishing. His heart was filled with love for all creatures, particularly horses, and he took great pride in his fish aquarium. Above all, he was a friend to everyone and never knew a stranger.

Surviving Jeffery is his mother, Regina (Jim) Spears of Rozetta, IL; one son, Gabriel “Gabe” Gaskill of Galesburg, IL; his siblings, Koleece Gaskill of Monmouth, IL, Nicholas Spears of Monmouth, IL, Olivia (Blake) Giddings of Alexis, IL, and Ty Gaskill of Princeton, IL. Also surviving is his grandmother, Jane Spears of Biggsville, IL; and several nieces.

He was preceded in death by his father, two children, Shannon Gaskill and Sarabeth Gaskill; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Funeral Services will be at 4:00 p.m., Friday, April 25, 2025, at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth, IL. Visitation will be prior to the service from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Cremation rites will be accorded following the service. Memorials can be made to Jeffery Gaskill Memorial Fund and sent to the funeral home. McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
