Monmouth College Sees Success in Multiple Sports

Monmouth College Fighting Scots baseball wrapped up a 3-game Midwest Conference series against Grinnell College on Sunday. The Scots took game one on Saturday 9-8, before dropping game two 19-6. The series finale on Sunday saw Monmouth winning the rubber-game, 8-7. The Fighting Scots have won 5 of their last 6 games overall.

Monmouth College softball held their senior day festivities on Saturday before sweeping Eureka in a double header.

The Monmouth tennis squad dropped a pair of Midwest Conference matches to Cornell and Grinnell at home.

Monmouth College Sports Information Director Nathan Baliva recapped the Fighting Scots amazing track and field weekend on the Monday WRAM Morning Show.

On the schedule for this week, the Fighting Scots track teams head to Grinnell College over the weekend for the Dick Young Classic.

Monmouth College tennis will travel to Wisconsin for two matches on Saturday.

Fighting Scots baseball will go to Bloomington on Wednesday for a non-conference match up with Illinois Wesleyan before getting back into Midwest Conference play on Saturday and Sunday. Monmouth will host Knox College for a 3-game series.

The Scots softball squad has a busy week, as they travel to Grinnell on Wednesday for a double header and at Ripon College on Saturday for a pair of games. Monmouth continues the grueling road trip on Sunday at Lawrence University for two more games.
