Mrs. Vicky S. Shriber, 71, of Galesburg, Illinois passed away at 1:29 pm, Monday, April 28, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family.

Vicky was born January 1, 1954, in St. Joseph, Missouri the daughter of Kensel and Frankie (Stanislaus) Miller. She was raised and attended school in St. Joseph and later married her husband, Richard L. Shriber there on November 21, 1970. He survives.

Also, surviving are her two daughters, Dawn (Skylar) Vantine of Galesburg and Tara (Jesse) McCoy of Martinsburg, West Virginia; her sister, Mary Pettis of Bakersfield, California; eight grandchildren, Justen, Tanner, River, Xavier, Tucker, Gunner, Rhett and Kaylee and four great grandchildren, Storm, Reign, Aayvie and Landon. She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Danny and Lonnie Miller and her two sisters, Judy Burget and Teresa McCoy.

Vicky worked as a bank teller for First Midwest Bank of Galesburg for six years. But her most important title was wife and mother for fifty-four years and Pastors wife for forty-five years to her husband, Rick and recently grandmother to her grandchildren. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed baking. Vicky treasured the time spent with her family, Sunday night dinners, family game nights and beach trips. Vicky was a devoted and faithful member of the Good News Baptist Church, where her husband was the pastor.

Visitation will be held from 10:30-11:30 am on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Galesburg Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 11:30 am on Saturday at the chapel with her grandsons, Pastor Justen Adams and Pastor Tanner Adams officiating. Burial will be in East Linwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Good News Baptist Church. Online condolences may be offered at www.h-p-w.com
