Illinois Signing Bielema, Underwood To Contract Extensions

Two high profile coaches at the University of Illinois are getting contract extensions.  Football coach Bret Bielema has agreed to a new six-year contract through the end of the 2030 season.  During his first four seasons, Bielema has guided the Fighting Illini to 28 wins.  Men’s basketball coach Brad Underwood has also agreed to a new six-year contract through the end of the 2030-31 season.  Underwood has led Illinois to three Big Ten championships in the last five years.  Both deals are pending University of Illinois Board of Trustees approval.
