Scots Golfers Finish Season at SLIAC Championships

The Monmouth men’s golf team finished in 11th place at the 13-team SLIAC Championships in Edinburgh, Indiana.

Ganon Greenman (Alpha, Illinois) had Monmouth’s best overall finish. He shot an 82 on Tuesday and finished the tournament at +22 to tie for 42nd. Briggs Bossert (Evanston, Illinois) had his best round of the tournament on Tuesday with a +6 78 and he finished 44th overall at +24.

Thomas Henson (Geneseo, Illinois) shot an 88 on Tuesday and finished at +34 in 51st place. Luke Foster (Galesburg, Illinois) finished in 52nd place with a score of +35 after carding an 83 on Tuesday. Cole Reavis (Buena Vista, Colorado) dropped eight strokes on Tuesday for an 85 and he finished in 54th place at +38 overall.

At +105, Monmouth stayed in 11th place, eight shots behind Blackburn. The Scots combined to shoot 328 on Tuesday after a round of 311 on Sunday and a score of 330 on Monday. The Mississippi University for Women, ranked 36th in the nation for Division III, won the event at -11, 14 strokes better than Lake Forest. MUW also had the top two golfers at -6 and -5 individually.

Greenman was named as Monmouth’s rep on the SLIAC Sportsmanship Team.
