Sharline F. Parsons, age 78, passed away at 5:30 am on May 10, 2025 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois. She was born on June 29, 1946 in Brookport, Illinois and is the daughter of Freeman Webb and Josephine Kathleen Johnson Burrus. She was raised in the Brookport public schools and graduated from Brookport High School where she was Valedictorian in the class of 1964. Sharline married Lindell R. Parsons on December 31, 1971 in Oquawka, Illinois and he preceded her in his death on May 17, 2015. Sharline has always been a homemaker in her own home, where she raised her family and fed and raised many friends and neighbors. She also baby sat for many children in Oquawka, Illinois. Sharline enjoyed cooking and being in her kitchen.

Sharline is survived by her daughters, Cindy Vice and Tim of Oquawka, Illinois and Crystal Parsons also of Oquawka, Illinois. Her son, Aaron Parsons and Beth survive her and also are from Oquawka, Illinois. There are four grandchildren surviving, Hannah Ludington and Ronnie of Stronghurst, IL, Audrey Vice of Grafton, Wisconsin, Molly Parsons of East Dubuque, Illinois, and Austin Parsons of Oquawka, Illinois. There are three great grandchildren, Ralph, Scarlet, and Oliver Ludington, all of Stronghurst, Illinois. Two sisters survive, Dianne Burrus of Brookport, Illinois and Kayla Smithson and Todd in Paducah, Kentucky. Her brother, Dwayne Burrus and Claudia survive her in Unionville, Illinois.  She is preceded in her death by her parents, husband Lindell, and a grandson, Robbie.

A funeral service for Sharline is planned on Friday May 16, 2025 at 10:30 am at Turnbull Funeral Home in Oquawka, Illinois. Interment will be in the Oquawka Cemetery following her funeral. Her family plans visitation and will be at the funeral home to receive their friends from 9:30 to 10:30 am prior to the funeral.
