Story by Parker Cassidy

The United Red Storm Girls’ Softball team concluded their season last Wednesday with a loss to the eventual Regional Champion, West Central Heat. Under the direction of first-year Head Coach Mike Maguire, the Red Storm posted a final record of 5 wins and 28 losses. While the win-loss column may not tell the full story, the Red Storm matched their 2024 win total and improved by four wins over their 2023 campaign while claiming back-to-back victories in Regional Quarterfinal matchups. The girls are showing clear signs of growth and progress and the future is bright for the Red Storm, as the team will return its full roster next season. This year’s squad had no seniors. Head Coach, Mike Maguire, would also like to see his girls getting out and playing softball this summer.
