Sarrah Frances Glenelle Gutierrez, 74, of Galesburg, died at 12:21 a.m. Sunday, June 15, 2025, in OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

She was born October 18, 1950, the daughter of Lester and Pansy (Horath) Woods. She married Telesforo C. Gutierrez on July 23, 1973, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.

She is survived by her children, Alicia Alfaro and Michael Duarte, both of Galesburg; six grandchildren, Anthony Alfaro (Valerie), David Alfaro, Christopher Alfaro, Brandon Alfaro, Evan Alfaro (Shae), and Felicia Alfaro; 18 great grandchildren; a sister, Carole Woods of Galesburg; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Callie. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Dale Woods.

Sarrah was raised and educated in Galesburg, where she was a graduate of Galesburg High School. She went on to work as General Manager at Steak ‘n Shake for 30 years. Before retirement, Sarrah worked as a lunch lady for District 205 for 11 years.

Sarrah was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also loved holidays and all of the cooking and family time that came with them. Sarrah liked to crochet and always had a special love for her dogs.

The Rosary will be prayed at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 21, 2025, at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral and Cremation Services. Visitation will continue following the Rosary until 4 p.m. Cremation will be accorded after the visitation. Memorial contributions may be made to Corpus Christi Catholic Church.
