Following the final TRAC baseball team left in the postseason taking part in the IHSA state finals on Saturday, the conference has released its all-conference baseball teams. The Sterling Newman Central Catholic Comets lost both of their games this weekend in the class 2A state finals in Champaign. The Comets finished in 4th place with an overall record of (28-9-1). Newman also won the East Division of the TRAC with a record of (9-1). That was two games better than runner-up Spring Valley Hall.
In the West Division, Sherrard came out on top at (9-1), which was three games better than Rockridge and four games better than Riverdale and Mercer County at (5-5). Orion came in 5th at (3-7) and Monmouth-Roseville was 6th at (2-8). Looking at the all-conference west division team, Sherrard had the most 1st team selections, with 4, and total players on the 1st, 2nd or Honorable Mention teams, with 7 total. Monmouth-Roseville had one player make the 1st team in junior Nick Huston at the catcher position. The Titans also had fellow juniors Landyn Angelo and Andrew Way get voted onto 2nd team and Honorable Mention team at the infield spot. Mercer County had two 1st team members and tied for 2nd in the division with six total players on the lists.
In the East Division, division winning Newman had the most 1st teamers with four and total players, with nine.
