A verdict has been reached for the murder trial of a slain Maquon Police chief. Marcy Oglesby was found guilty of the death of Richard Young. The Knox County woman was accused of poisoning the retired police chief for several months before he died in November 2021. Oglesby then tried to hide the body in a storage unit before Young’s remains were found nearly a year later. Oglesby will be sentenced in September for first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, and aggravated battery.
